Lynn Knives:
Lynn has always had a passion for the edge, and began making knives before she was out of high school. She then took an apprenticeship under Barry Dawson, an accomplished knifemaker of 30 years. After several years of perfecting her craft, she began attending knife shows to display her work. Slowly she started winning awards for her skill, and in 1999 she was contracted to make the official club knives for the Arizona Knife Collectors Assn. She is the only woman to ever hold this honor, and is one of only a handful of lady knifemakers in the US. Lynn believes in supporting her fellow knifemakers, and is a member of the AKCA, OKCA, BAKCA, and SCB. She learned engraving under the tutelage of Rachel Wells in Prescott, AZ and does all of her own engraving on her knives. Lynn attends the majority of knife shows held in the southwest, as well as the Atlanta Blade show. She has also been featured in several articles in prestigious knife magazines, including Blade and Tactical Knives.

Lynn works with many different materials, from Micarta to rare natural woods and Ivory. She uses 440C, ATS34, 5160, and also works in high contrast Damascus. Lynn prides herself in the diversity of her designs, she believes that adhering to only one style or design of knife limits her artistic and creative abilities. Lynn has designed and created anything from Persian scimitar swords and Scottish dirks to straightforward hunting and general purpose knives. Avid huntsmen, professional guides, military and law enforcement personnel and distinguished collectors all over the U.S. and abroad call themselves fans of Lynn’s elegant yet practical style. Lynn is a believer of sole authorship, and creates her knives from start to finish, taking them through each step including the heat treatment process, with care and skill.
